I have been a big fan of the Castlevania series since childhood, and Alucard is my all-time favorite bishonen character. Over the past three years I have been collecting parts of this costume here and there, but it was only until recently that I wanted to make a complete Symphony of the Night group. These costumes needed to look very “period” yet still true to the original design. In the artist’s sketches, the details of Alucard’s costume varies, so I pulled my favorite details from each sketch into my design. For my make-up, I wanted my face to look elegant and haunting, yet still masculine. Im very pleased with this costume, and its gratifying to recreate some of my favorite characters. The shield was commissioned from Fantasy Props.
The last photo of this set was photographed by Jamais Vu it was such a great honor for him to photograph one of my favorite costumes! I changed up the make-up and my friend Diana restyled my wig for what I think makes a more accurate Alucard.
