While visiting my parents and sister back in Texas I was inspired to alter one of my
very old costumes I found in our closet. I did not have my sewing machine with me so everything
was torn, burned and tied together. By not having my tools to work on this costume
actually helped with the out come making it look very raw and realistic, like an Alseid should be! I wrapped vines of real fern around my waist and wove it through the burned holes in the neckline. Usually I love wearing wigs with all my costumes but I think my natural messy hair worked just fine for this one. It was fun revisiting the forest and creek we use to play in. Mary and I did a little photoshoot down by the creek.
