Firefly-Path began in the summer of 2002 by sisters, Mary and JoEllen Elam, having admired creations from other artisan sites for renaissance festivals, costume design and fantasy art.

In the spirit of reinvention, Firefly Path reflects the ongoing evolution of its creators (as artists and individuals) having undergone several transitions from the beginning - five to be exact! Originally, the site offered fantasy fairy wings but eventually became aligned with the anime costume craze (known as cosplay), now booming in the U.S.

To return the inspiration, Mary and JoEllen hope to assist those with their own creations through the showcasing of their costumes and helpful hints. All those wishing to learn are encouraged to view their tutorials section.

For us, Firefly Path is a wonderful escape from reality. We invite you to come along, stay awhile, and share the journey alongside us through fantasy and back!
