FAQ

~~~ Cosplay – Costume Play ~~~
Question:
“What is cosplay?”
Answer:
Cosplay – born in the minds of TV viewers, torn from the pages of comic books, spun out of Mom’s old sewing machine, paraded up and down convention halls; and now, brewing up a tiny, little storm in the realms of modeling, entertainment, fashion and American media.
The word “cosplay” is a Japanese-invented term: derived from English, inherited by the Japanese, and delivered right back to us only to roll off our native tongues minus the charming accent (pronounced ‘kosupure’). When fused together it combines the words, “costume” and “play”. In short, cosplay is just another way of saying “dressing up as your favorite character for fun”. It began as a mid-80′s convention buzzword, which eventually grew to define the present trend of fan costuming (and original works) which we enjoy today thanks to the inspiration of entertainment and the gatherings that fuel this underground art movement.
“Why cosplay?”
That’s simple. Its fun!
~~~ Materials – Wings ~~~

Question:
“What are your wings made of?”

Answer:
I use a strong, coated wire for the frame. The material or fabric that I use to cover the wings is made of either organza or cellophane. I do have a step by step picture tutorial. You can read my tutorial  HERE.

~~~ Construction – Wings, costumes and accessories ~~~
Question:
“How do you make your wings, costumes and accessories?”
