Bollywood Warrior

During one of my visits to the fabric district I spotted this red and gold fabric for a great price, I bought it not quite sure what I was going to use it for. I started sketching out kimono influenced designs and decided on this one. Still unsure with what to do with the accessories and styling I posted an entry in my Live Journal asking viewers to share their ideas about how I should finish it up. I got some great feedback and suggestions! I loved the idea about a Asian warrior. I asked my friend Vanii to model the costume for me, the colors and cut of the costume look striking with her skin and stature! She’s both strong and elegant like a goddess who can kick your ass! Thanks again to J-Fish for a fantastic photoshoot! Also a special thanks to Diana for lending me a piece from her antique jewelry collection!

The last photo of this set was photographed by Jamais Vu. Make-up artist Tuesday who also did her hair helped in making of this exotic photo!

I love this outfit! Warm colors and metallics really do make her look like a fierce lady warrior.
