Another Labyrinth of Jareth has come and gone! I can’t help but feel a little lost after it comes to an end. This year the Ball consumed my life even more so than previous years. I was sewing and crafting a glittering army of fanciful costumes for customers, LOJ performers, and friends, months before the event. This year LOJ allotted me a space to exhibit one of my original costumes the “Rose Fairy”, where patrons could pick one of my cards from a nearby pedestal.
It’s now become a tradition among a few close friends to get ready at our house, then ride a limo to the ball, and this year I had the honor of dressing celebrities: Team Unicorn, Doe Deer of Lime Crime Cosmetics, and performer Traci Hines, in my costumes! Even though I’m exhausted, after I see pictures from the Ball, it makes me even more inspired for next year!
