I’m really pleased with the way the Cardcaptor Sakura costume turned out! You can read the rest of the tutorials on how to make this costume here -

In the original belt design there is a small pink strap that goes across the bellybutton. I decided to alter the design a bit by making it into a under-bust corset. This gives the illusion that the shirt and belt are the same piece. It give more structure to the gown and makes it slimming! I added plastic boning to each seam and lined it with the same dress fabric. I finished off the back with buttonhole. It’s a little more elegant than using metal grommets. It’s GORGEOUS!!! The waist cincher really is the cherry on the sundae. I love the skirt— so many ruffles and poofs! Just like Sakura’s outfits!
Grats, it’s gorgeous and I’m sure the customer will think so too!
Amazizizing!
I love it! You know, I have a dream, and my dream is if someday I’ll be lucky enough to dress up one of those wonderful dresses you make! <3
pretty as always^_^ Curious, have you considered stitching chinese frog buttons around the sides of colored grommets to make it a bit prettier?
Wow that’s a beautiful idea!!
thanks^_^ I’m a big fan!
