Posing

Q:

Hellooooo My name is monique and I have been looking at your photos and I wanted to know if you had any tips on how to pose or any special way to look good in your costume for example I am doing jill valentine and I really dont know what to do when posing and any advice would be very helpful! ^_^ thanks!

A:

There are several things you can do while posing for a photo that will help it look all around better! Keep your back straight and your shoulders up for close ups, your posture should be exaggerated. Don't always look straight at the camera. Instead, use a variety of head and eye positions: Try turning your head, tilting your neck to one side or the other, or looking off to into the distance. Avoid having your arms hanging flat against your sides. Make it interesting by bend your arms slightly, place your hands on your hips, or try other poses that involve alternate placements of the arms. If you have a prop like Jill's hand gun you can strike action poses from scenes of the game like sneaking around corners, aiming at or away from the camera. I know it sounds weird but the best thing you can do is practice looking in a mirror, figure out what stances look best!
