Eye Makeup Techniques
Q:
Your makeup always looks so amazing. I was just looking at your new Alucard costume and the makeup (and
the costume and wig, and everything) just blows me away. How do you do it, if I may be so bold? whenever i
try to put on costume makeup i always think I'm doing a good job, and it looks great in the mirror, but then in
the photos, its like I'm not wearing any at all!
if you have any tips or suggestions you would be willing to share, i would be so great full.
Thank you ever so much.

When I do my make up, Im sure to put on ALOT. You have to remember when your taking photos with your
costume, you're most likely wearing a wig and an elaborate costume that are all competing against each other. In
order for your face to stand out, you must exaggerate your features. When I do my eyes, I usually wear false
eyelashes along with generous amounts of mascara. Liquid eyeliner its great too because you have more control
over the line it makes. I even shade in my eyebrows to make them more noticeable. I know there is a fine line
you have to consider when doing your makeup: does it look TOO over done or not done-up enough? The way I
learned was by constantly practicing and testing different makeup styles on myself. Also, be sure to always
practice with the wig you're wearing ... the wig can completely change the shape of your face and the overall look
of the make-up.
Thank you for the question! Im always happy to share some of my techniques ^_^
