Choosing Photoshoot Locations
Q:
Hey I wanted to know how do you choose your locations for your photoshoots?
Marquez
A:
Hello Marquez!
We always try to find appropriate locations for our photoshoots. If your going to put so much time and effort into your costumes you should have some nice pictures to show off all your work. There is nothing wrong with convention photos but it nice to take the time and find locations that compliment your costume. Say if your cosplaying as character that has a lot of Asian influences in the costume a Japanese garden would be ideal for a location. Research your character and think about what setting they would look natural in. Also it's important to make sure it is OK to take photos in some location. Call before hand and let them know exactly what you want to do and when you plan on having your photoshoot. Don't expect to be welcome in costume if you show up unexpectedly. You might also want to think about what days during the week would be best. For example if you want people in your background weekend are a good time to shoot and vise-versa for weekdays.
Thank you for your question!
